I need your prayers as I will be flying to Nebraska on Tuesday.  I leave bright and early – 6:00 am EST and arrive in Denver at 10:00 am MST. 

During the last week, my mom and my sister has had to put my dad in a care facility.  He is in such a weakened condition that it is hard for him to get out of bed and even to stand.  He is also retaining a lot of fluid.  He had been in the hospital where they were trying to drain off some of the excess fluid.  On Tuesday the doctors told mom that he either needed to be moved to a care facility or go home and have hospice care come when needed.  In his weakened state, mom is unable to care for him at home. 

Also, last week, my sister learned that she has a mass in her colon that needs to be removed.  Surgery is scheduled for this coming Wednesday.  Fortunately, it appears that the procedure can be done laproscopically which will shorten the recovery time.  So, while she is recovering, they asked if I could come  help mom get back and forth to the care facility. 

I’ll be traveling alone and  I’m already experiencing much anxiety about the trip.  I already feel worn out.  Part of that is due to being away from home for an extended period of time and having to leave again so soon.  Would you please pray for me in the following ways:

Absolute CLEAR SKIES for the flight – no bumps and for safe travel in all other ways.

That I would be healthy.

For strength as I help Mom and as I see my Dad in declining health. 

For my sister’s surgery and that she would recover completely. 

I leave 11/3 and will return home on 11/22.
